type2error, the lovely chaps who do all the Hope of the States artwork and projections, were 'having a little clearout' recently and came across six old storyboards:
board 1: photos showing the process of making the bdbs sleeves
board 2: all parts of the bdbs artwork, stills from the video and stills from an early Astoria gig
board 3: stills from the original website
board 4: concept poster for tour dates
board 5: band logos
board 6: bdbs advertising
All boards are A2. They'd like someone to take them off their hands. We're going to help them by organising a competition or two. Get yourself a little piece of Hope of the States history!
And it's for charity - now confirmed as Heritage Antarctica, who do a grand job in studying the effects of global warming, and will probably be our saviours in the future.
Competition 1 (The Raffle) - win up to 3 storyboards
This one's going to take the form of a good ol' raffle. £1 per entry. If you choose to buy multiple tickets (1 gets you an entry, 5 is the recommended amount if you're feeling flush, max 20 if you're a bit mad), please buy them in one go, to reduce excessive PayPal fees. Click the button below, pay for the number of tickets you want (I'll enter you once for each £1 donated) and I'll select the winner (with independent verification) at random on the 5th August. p&p will be covered by your entry and type2 will post them to you shortly after. Add your preferred contact email in the optional text box too.
The winner gets a set of 3 storyboards and a runner up gets 1!
The draw was made on Saturday 12th August with the help of my lovely assistant...my Mother.

I thought long and hard about whether I should claim the runner-up prize. When my name was pulled, me and my Mum just looked at each other and said 'oh no'. But I'm happy that the draw was fair and after consultation with a couple of other people who entered, I think it's fair game. If you have any objections you are welcome to drop me an email.

Competition 2 (The Creative Bit) - win 2 storyboards
This one is for creative people. The task is simple - create the best Hope of the States related 'thing'. It can take any form - ie a photo, a painting or drawing, a remix, a poem, a video, a turd, whatever. Impress us and make us laugh. type2error decide on the best one and the winner gets two storyboards. Entry for this one is £1 if you've already entered the raffle, but we ask you to donate a bit more if this is your only involvement.
